Program installation and start

In order to install OTbase Vantage, simply execute the installation program. It will unpack OTbase Vantage, place it in a program folder, and create a link on your desktop for easy program launch.

On program start, OTbase Vantage itself executes in the background and provides a local HTTP server on your computer for as long as the program is running. You can check that Vantage is running by the presence of an OTbase icon in your system tray.

Vantage will also open a new browser tab and connect to the local web server on port 9000. You don't need to authenticate as the application is intended only for local use.

Your LOAD screen will look different depending on the exported Portable Inventory Data (PID) files in your download folder. If you haven't downloaded PIP files from OTbase Asset Center yet, the LOAD screen will be blank and you can't use OTbase Vantage.

In order to terminate OTbase Vantage, open the context menu with right-click and click on "Exit".
