Introduction to OT-BASE Report Writer

OT-BASE Report Writer is a standalone (external) application that automatically generates a white label assessment/audit report based on asset data from OT-BASE Asset Center. The report is stored as a Microsoft Word document that you can modify, enhance, print out etc.

OT-BASE Report Writer uses a Portable Inventory Data file exported from OT-BASE Asset Center as input. Based on asset data, it creates a report with diagrams, tables, and text elements. The resulting report requires little modification before it can be shared with others (management, customers, regulators, ...). A major use case for the Report Writer is for consultants who need to report on OT security posture but don't want to gather and document the required fact base manually. OT-BASE Report Writer gives this group the opportunity to slash project time and effort by mostly having to focus on assessment and recommendations.

Usage of OT-BASE Report Writer is extremely simple as it only requires a small number of settings that will affect how verbose the report will be. As an example, you have the choice to include an asset inventory (device details), which may be useful for a regulator's audience, but not for an asset owner (who has better details in OT-BASE Asset Center).
