Possible database platforms for OTbase Asset Center

Dear Community

 

We are unclear on the possible database platforms OTbase is able to use "under the hood". Our preferred course of action would be to utilize Microsoft SQL Server as the underlying database used by the OTbase Asset Center. Previous tests with PostgreSQL have been positive, however this is not the database we'd like to use long term.

 

Is anyone able to confirm to me whether we'd be able to use Microsoft SQL Server and, if possible, point me towards the right direction regarding documentation?

  Hi Adrián,

  the database used by OTbase is Maria DB and there is no way to change it.

  In addition to Ralph's comment, it should be noted that OTbase is deployed as a Docker container making setup, backup, movement between servers and recovery easier.  Minimal configuration is required on the Docker host to get OTbase up and running.
