OTbase Discovery can automatically export asset information to OTbase Inventory if it can establish a direct network connection. The preferred method is to use a HTTPS POST, but other methods are available.
Specify the protocol
Select the top entry in the object pane in order to make configuration changes at the node level.
In the Destination OTbase Inventory section of the Discovery Details, select the protocol you will be using by setting the Type value
Specify the IP address or hostname
After selecting your protocol, a new list of fields will appear. What we will focus on here is the IP/hostname. Enter either the ip address or hostname of where your OTbase Inventory installation can be reached.
Note: If you do not have a direct connection from OTbase Discovery to OTbase Inventory please refer to this documentation for other techniques.
Save your changes
Press the Set button in the bottom right hand pane to save your changes.
Test your export path
In order to test your export path, click on "Export" -- assuming that you have already collected useful asset information.
You can then check in OTbase Inventory if your data was received. In order to do this, go to INVENTORY then IMPORT and check the import log under the Devices tab.
If you see the log entry for your recent import, you can get additional detail by double-clicking on the entry, which launches the Import Profile.
