Exporting device data

Device data can be exported as a CSV file that you can open in Excel, or as a JSON file that can be processed with any application or tool that supports the JSON format.

A major difference between a CSV export and a JSON export is that the CSV file only contains the data that you see in the inventory listing, whereas the JSON export contains a lot of additional data, such as hardware modules, network connections etc.

You can export to JSON either from the device listing or from the software listing. Keep in mind that the result set can be limited by setting the scope and by filtering any of the columns. After you have properly reduced the result set (for example, to a specific site, or network), press the "JSON Export" button.
