After selecting INVENTORY from the main navigation menu, you'll see the scope of the asset inventory that you have access to based on your role and user permissions.
Sidebar links
From the sidebar, on the left, you can select various aspects of the inventory:

| DEVICES | Device inventory: Hardware devices and hardware products. |
| SOFTWARE | Software inventory: Software products and instances. |
| SYSTEMS | System inventory: Distributed Control Systems and conversion lines. |
| NETWORKS | Network inventory: Networks and data flow. |
| LOCATIONS | Location inventory: Geo-spatial locations |
Additional sidebar links
In the lower section of the sidebar you find the following additional items:

| IMPORT | Here you can import data files from Asset Discovery, CVE definitions, and more. As an end user, you will most likely not need to / not be allowed to access the Import section. |
| EXTENDED | You can define custom data fields, network groups, and more in this section. As an end user, you will most likely not need to / not be allowed to access the Extended section. |
| SEARCH | Here you can search the inventory using complex queries. In most situations you will not need the Search page as the filter capabilities of the device inventory are usually sufficient. |
The sidebar can be minimized by clicking on the left arrow in the upper left corner, should you prefer more real estate for inventory content. Simply click on the visible hamburger menu icon to expand the menu back.
