A location profile contains information about a given physical (geo-spatial) location, such as a site, room, or cabinet. You can open location profiles anywhere in Asset Center where a location name appears with a hyperlink. In the location inventory, you can open a location profile either by double clicking on an item in the location tree, or by selecting an item in the tree and then clicking the "Profile" button.
A location profile may contain the following sections:
Header
The header contains the location ID and location name, along with a picture of the location (if set) as a thumbnail. You can open the picture in a new window by clicking on the thumbnail.
General
The general section contains general details such as the street address.
Extended
The extended section contains any custom fields along with their values.
Map
The map section contains a geographical map, floor map, picture, or whatever was chosen to help users orient themselves in the location. You can pan and zoom the map. If hotspots are set, hovering over a hotspot will pop up the picture of the respective sub-location (if set). Clicking on a hotspot will open the location profile for that sub-location.
Networks
The networks section lists all the networks at the location. You can re-sort the table by clicking on column headers. Clicking on a network name will open the network profile for that network.
Systems
The systems section lists all OT systems (such as production lines) at the location. Clicking on a system name will open the system profile for that system.
Devices
The devices section lists all OT devices at the location. You can re-sort the table by clicking on column headers. Clicking on a device name will open the device profile for that device.
Files
The files section shows any files that have been attached to the location, such as manuals. Clicking on a file icon will download that file to your computer.
