Adding groups
Starting OTbase Discovery Manager for the first time the groups tab bar is not visible. You can add a new group by clicking the "Add Group" button. You can specify a name, e.g., "Warehouse A" and klick "OK" to add the group. Thereafter, the group will be added and the tab bar will be visible.
Renaming groups
You can rename a group by right-clicking on the group in the tab bar. A context menu will appear where you can select "Rename".
Deleting groups
You can delete a group by right-clicking on the group in the tab bar. A context menu will appear where you can select "Delete". All nodes in the group will be removed as well. If you want to keep them, you will need to move them to a different group beforehand.
Change order of groups
Group order can simply be changed via drag and drop, i.e., you press the left mouse button on a group in the tab bar and drag it to the desired position. Here you release the mouse button and the group is dropped in the designated position.
Moving nodes to another group
Nodes can be moved between groups.
In order to do this, proceed as follows:
- Select the nodes that you want to move using Shift-left click and/or Control-left click. Selected nodes will then be highlighted in orange.
- Then, with the mouse over any of the highlighted lines, open the context menu with a right click.
- In the context menu, click on "Move node(s) to a different group".
- A dialog will appear asking you to pick the target group. Select a group and click on "Ok".
An alternative of moving nodes to a different group is via drag and drop. You can select as many nodes as needed as described above and then simply drag them to a different group in the tab bar, dropping them on the target group.
